A Safe Haven for the Vulnerable

About Our Shelter

Freedom for Life Initiative (FFLI) is committed to providing safe, supportive, and nurturing environments for individuals who need refuge from challenging and dangerous situations. Our shelter serves as a sanctuary for survivors of abuse, exploitation, gender-based violence, trafficking, and other forms of vulnerability. It is a place where individuals can begin their journey toward healing, stability, and independence. We operate a closed shelter with a maximum stay of not more than 2 weeks for survivors except in very exceptional cases. We provide sheltering, counselling and rehabilitation services as well as refer cases in need of medical assistance to the relevant stakeholders when the need arises. The shelter capacity can accommodate 12 survivors at a time. we have provided shelter to more than 20 survivors and victims of trafficking and Gender Based Violence.

Why Our Shelter Matters

For many survivors, finding a safe place is the first step to rebuilding their lives. Without shelter and support, vulnerable individuals often face continued cycles of exploitation and harm. FFLI’s shelter is more than just a physical space; it is a community that provides essential resources, counseling, and empowerment to help individuals regain their sense of dignity and control over their future.

What We Offer at the Shelter

Our shelter is designed to meet the diverse needs of the individuals we serve, providing holistic care and resources to promote recovery and reintegration into society. Services include:

  • Safe and Secure Accommodation:

Our shelter offers a safe space for individuals escaping harmful situations. We ensure privacy and security to create a sense of peace and stability.

  • Counseling and Psychosocial Support:

  • Medical Care and Health Services:

We ensure that all residents have access to basic healthcare, including treatment for injuries, illnesses, and other medical needs, as well as referrals for specialized care.
